You may encounter frozen buttons at the pay boxes this Saturday morning, December 26. We are aware of the problem and have deployed personnel to repair the issue and hope to be complete by approximately 11:00 A.M.
If you experience any problem with the pay box, please report it at any time per the instructions below:
- Call (877) 242-7901 and provide meter or pay box number and street location.
- If ticketed in error, contest the ticket. Hearing officers have access to the operations database and will be able to see that the meter was reported as inoperable.
- Motorists are allowed to park, without penalty, for the duration of the time that they would have been able to purchase at spaces where pay boxes or meters are reported as inoperable.
Parking enforcement personnel have been instructed to determine if pay boxes or meters are operable before issuing citations and not issue citations when pay box receipts might be obscured by snow or ice. Enforcement personnel are instructed to report problems with pay boxes and meters as they are identified.
Enforcement personnel are also instructed to scan the entire dashboard to verify pay box receipts however, placing receipts on the curb side ensures the safety of motorists and enforcement personnel.
