Thursday, November 19, 2009

On Thursday, November 5 Chicago Parking Meters and LAZ Parking made a $500 donation to support the African American Male Initiative (AAI), a United Way-funded program provided in Chicago’s Roseland community by Metropolitan Family Services in an effort to answer the call to end youth violence.

AAI is a program designed to help African American males, ages 10-16, successfully move from childhood to adulthood. The primary goal is to empower African American male youth to combat and overcome feelings of self-doubt and low self-esteem.

Services provided by AAI include leadership development, anger management, conflict-resolution workshops, financial literacy and job preparation training.
